What is your book about?

Courageously Authentic is an empowering guide for women who are ready to reclaim their voice and live from a place of truth. Through personal stories, shared wisdom, and transformative exercises, the book explores limiting beliefs, impostor syndrome, ego-driven patterns, the pull of victimhood, and emotional barriers that keep women disconnected from themselves. It offers a clear path to inner awakening, supporting women as they choose courage over comfort and step into lives their deserve – joy, freedom, and authentic self-expression.
What inspired you to write your book?

The loss of my sister was a turning point. It revealed what can happen when pain goes unspoken and identity becomes shaped by survival instead of truth. As I continued coaching women, I saw how many were carrying similar wounds—conditioned to prioritize others, silence their needs, and question their worth. Writing this book became a way to honor my sister and the countless women who trusted me with their stories by offering what I know is possible: healing, awareness, and a return to authenticity.

Can you describe your writing process? How did you get your book written and how long did it take?

It took me about a year to write Courageously Authentic. My writing process was very visual and intuitive. I used large colored poster boards covered with Post-it notes so I could get everything out of my head and onto the wall. That allowed me to see the flow of the book, move ideas around, and understand how one insight needed to build upon the next.

Because the book explores consciousness, belief systems, and inner transformation, the process couldn’t be linear. I needed to step back often, reflect, and let the material settle before returning to it. Some sections came quickly, while others required time—both lived experience and emotional integration—before the words felt right.

Writing Courageously Authentic was as much a process of listening as it was writing. I paid attention to what felt complete, what needed space, and what wanted to be said next. In many ways, the structure of the book emerged the same way the transformation it describes does—layer by layer, with intention and honesty.

What was your publishing process like? How did you publish your book and how long did it take?

My publishing process was challenging and, at times, frustrating. I chose a hybrid publishing company, Mindstir Media, believing it would offer both guidance and partnership. What I learned through that experience is how important it is for authors to fully understand what support is actually provided, how timelines work, and where responsibility truly sits.

From start to finish, the publishing process took longer than I anticipated. It required patience, persistence, and a willingness to advocate for my work at every stage. While the experience tested me, it also strengthened my understanding of the publishing landscape and clarified what authors need to protect their voice and investment.

In many ways, that journey reinforced why I now place such emphasis on education and the tools I’ve designed for women who want to write and publish their own books.

How do you hope your book impacts the world?

My hope for Courageously Authentic is to help women remember who they are beneath years of conditioning, expectations, and self-sacrifice. For generations, many women learned to measure their worth through endurance and silence. This book invites a different relationship with self—one that is deeply rooted in awareness and choice, and a deep connection to inner truth.

On a broader level, I hope it reframes inner work as an act of courage and leadership. When women heal their relationship with themselves, they raise children with emotional presence and clear boundaries. They model self-respect and emotional awareness, along with the courage to honor what is true for them. From that place, they lead with wisdom and serve as a role model to the next generation.

If this book creates impact in the world, I hope it offers women permission to stand in their truth, and through that choice, shape the future through the lives they touch.

Are there any people and/or books that have inspired you along your journey?

Yes, many people and books influenced my journey, but my greatest teachers came through lived experience and the women I have worked alongside. My sister’s life, and her loss to alcoholism at age forty-six, deepened my understanding of the power of inherited beliefs and the quiet way they form identity and influence the choices women make. Her story continues to guide my work in ways no book ever could.

Professionally, I have been influenced by thought leaders and teachers who explore consciousness and personal responsibility, especially those who challenge inherited narratives and invite deeper self-inquiry. Books that focus on awareness, healing, and consciousness helped me articulate what I had witnessed for years in coaching: that transformation begins when a woman reconnects with herself and learns to trust her inner voice.

At the same time, the women I have coached remain my greatest source of inspiration. Their courage and willingness to question long-held beliefs continually affirmed that this work matters. Their stories shaped Courageously Authentic as much as any formal study, and they continue to influence how I show up in the world.

What’s next for you?

What’s next for me is continuing to raise awareness and provide tools that help women across the globe break generational patterns and become courgeously authentic. To support that work, I developed product lines including the Courageously Authentic™ Journey Back to You™ Bundle, created for women to use in the privacy of their homes, either alongside my book or on its own. These resources support reflection and healing at a pace that feels right for each woman.

I also created the Courageously Authentic™ Writer’s Toolkit for women who feel called to write a book and share their stories. The toolkit offers the structure and direction, along with a clear publishing strategy designed to support long-term success.

Moving forward, my focus is on speaking engagements and partnerships that invite awareness and create spaces where women feel safe and supported as they reconnect with their sense of self.

What advice would you offer fellow authors who are just getting started?

I would tell new authors to start before they feel ready and trust what they already know. Choose courage over fear and authenticity over perfection. Writing unfolds through the process.

Patience matters. Allow the work to deepen as you write and give your voice time to develop. Create a structure that supports you and stay committed to it, even when doubt appears. Consistency builds momentum.

I would also encourage authors to avoid using AI as the writer of their book. Your story requires your voice, your lived experience, and your truth. Authenticity comes from honest expression, something no technology can replace.

Most of all, honor your story. If you feel called to write it, there is a reason. Work grounded in lived experience and written from a place of authenticity has the power to change lives and leave a lasting legacy.
